The Library’s entire spring agenda of in-person continuing legal education programs was cancelled for reasons of both public safety and the closure of the John Adams Courthouse to all patrons and members of the public. It is unfortunate because the Library had an ardent following of users who preferred our traditional “classroom” CLEs to the predominantly virtual formats offered by bar associations and other CLE providers. Trial Court Service Centers Go Virtual

Trial Court Chief Justice Paula M. Carey and Court Administrator Jonathan Williams announced that Court Service Centers (CSCs) are now using videoconferencing technology to assist self-represented court users on matters including family law, housing and debt collection. Read Full Article

The Popular Massachusetts Guardianship Association and Social Law ANNUAL GUARDIANSHIP CONFERENCE is moving to webinar format!

Join us on 9/17 and 9/24 for “In the Year 2020: Challenges, Obstacles and Opportunities in Guardianship” Day one of this two-day conference will feature opening remarks by Chief Justice John Casey of the Probate and Family Court. The panel will discuss TBI/ABI and Substance Use focusing on the impact of co-occurrence – challenges, realities and resources for individuals with a traumatic or acquired brain injury and substance use disorders.
