2021 Edition of the Massachusetts Guide to Evidence Now Available

The Supreme Judicial Court and its Advisory Committee on Massachusetts Evidence Law today announced the release of the 2021 edition of the Massachusetts Guide to Evidence. The Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court recommend use of the Guide by the bench, bar, and public. Read Full Article
Supreme Judicial Court Issues New Order Regarding Jury Trials and Operation of Courts

The Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) today issued an updated order regarding the operation of Massachusetts state courts and courthouses during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Social Law Library is hosting an important online CLE on March 2, 2021—Data Privacy and Security for Attorneys and Law Firms. Our panel will be moderated by Andrew Levchuk. Attorney Levchuk was Counsel at Bulkely Richardson for seven years and prior to that, Lead Counsel for the U.S. Justice Department for 24 years, and served as Senior Counsel for the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section before starting his own firm in 2019. Supreme Judicial Court Appoints John A. Bello as Massachusetts Trial Court Administrator

The Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court today announced that they have selected John A. Bello as the next Court Administrator of the Trial Court. Mr. Bello succeeds Jonathan S. Williams in the position. Mr. Williams left the position in December 2020, after serving as Court Administrator since May 2017. Mr. Bello begins his new position effective March 1. Read Full Article
