Join us on 9/17 and 9/24 for “In the Year 2020: Challenges, Obstacles and Opportunities in Guardianship” Day one of this two-day conference will feature opening remarks by Chief Justice John Casey of the Probate and Family Court. The panel will discuss TBI/ABI and Substance Use focusing on the impact of co-occurrence – challenges, realities and resources for individuals with a traumatic or acquired brain injury and substance use disorders. Probate and Family Court Partners With Non-Profit on Pilot Project to Create Massachusetts’ First Public Guardian

The Probate and Family Court today announced that it is partnering with Public Guardian Services (PGS), a Massachusetts non-profit organization, to implement a pilot project for a public guardian in Massachusetts. The pilot is expected to begin in July and will be implemented in Suffolk and Plymouth Counties. Read Full Article
Trial Court to Announce Opening of First Family Drug Court in Massachusetts

On June 17, Trial Court Chief Justice Paula Carey, Chief Justice of the Probate and Family Court Angela Ordoñez, and Commissioner of Probation Edward Dolan, will attend an official opening ceremony at Greenfield Community College to announce the opening of the state's first family drug court, operated through the Franklin County Probate and Family Court.
