Social Law Library members now have access to thousands of documents related to the constitutions of all the states with State Constitutions Illustrated.

This new Hein Online database has the texts of current and historical state constitutions as well as legislative histories, scholarly books and articles about each one.

For Massachusetts you’ll find works about the constitution dating back to its drafting by John Adams in 1780 and the records and debates from all the constitutional conventions held since that time.

All members have access to State Constitutions Illustrated when at the library. Members in firms of less than 50 attorneys have remote access.
