Wedding Cake Case Headed Toward Decision

Posted: Dec 06, 2017

This week the United States Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. At issue is whether a  business owner has the right to refuse to fill an order for a wedding cake from a gay couple, based on his religious convictions.  The Court has an opportunity to issue a landmark decision interpreting the First Amendment of the Constitution.

Briefs, oral argument transcripts, and other information about the case can be found on Scotusblog: http://www.scotusblog.com/case-files/cases/masterpiece-cakeshop-ltd-v-colorado-civil-rights-commn/
