New Fire Code Regulations

Posted: Dec 15, 2014

As the Boston Globe reported in Sunday’s paper, the state’s fire code will be updated on January 1, 2015. Most noticeable is the adoption of more strict chemical safety regulations, as well as hold-open clips for gas station pumps. In making this change, Massachusetts will be joining over 20 states in adopting the national fire safety code.

More information about the changes can be found here: http://www.mass.gov/eopss/agencies/dfs/dfs2/osfm/fire-prev/comprehensive-model-fire-code.html
