For Women’s History Month we’ve selected books in our collection that spotlight the history and current state of women in the government and legal communities. Some titles focus on pioneers who defied the men who told them that they weren’t qualified to practice law or serve as judges or legislators. Supreme Judicial Court Announces Reappointment of Hon. Paula M. Carey as Chief Justice of the Trial Court

The Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court today announced the reappointment of the Honorable Paula M. Carey as Chief Justice of the Trial Court, pursuant to G. L. 211B, §6. School System Not Liable For Bullied Student’s Paralysis

On February 27 the Supreme Judicial Court ruled that the Lynn Public School Department was not liable under the Massachusetts Tort Claims Act for failing to stop the bullying that resulted in quadriplegia for an elementary student. Read Full Article
