Social Law Members Explore Moving Their Practices to the Cloud

What is the “Cloud” and why do we “have to” be on it?  We hear so much about the Cloud through advertisements, articles, and reports, but a full explanation of what it is is rarely provided.  Last Thursday, December 11, 2014, Social Law members joined Daryl Rinaldi (GizmoFish, LLC) and Steven M. Ayr (Fair Point Legal)  to discuss these very questions during the “How (and Why) to Move Your Practice to the Cloud” seminar.  Over the course of a two- hour roundtable seminar, members learned what the Cloud is, the advantages and disadvantages of moving a law practice to the Cloud, and explored Cloud services that would benefit a small or midsized firm.  The roundtable set-up allowed for a conversation between presenters and attendees that helped fully explain difficult concepts.  The Library would like to thank our co-sponsors Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and Law Office Management Assistance Program, and Steven and Daryl, as well as the attendees of the presentation for making the program a success.

If you are interested in purchasing a DVD copy of “How (and Why) to Move Your Practice to the Cloud,” please contact Andrew Hyland at (617) 226-1361 or ahyland@socialaw.com.
