On Friday, November 1, 2019 the Social Law Library hosted Latest Complex Issues in Murder Cases.
“Latest Complex Issues in Murder Cases” focused on the most difficult areas of a murder trial, with comprehensive analysis from all perspectives. Attendees gained powerful, timely insights from leading practitioners, both prosecutors and defense attorneys, and a forensic expert regarding how to tackle these problematic issues. Judicial commentary and reflection from four veteran Superior Court judges gives an inside look at how judges view these demanding aspects of a murder trial.
The following areas were covered through presentation, discussion, and demonstrations:
• Bail; Pretrial Discovery, Motions in Limine
• Jury Issues
• Digital Evidence
• Emerging Issues in Expert Testimony
Some comments from attendees include:
“Excellent, excellent panels! Thank you! – good balance between defense and prosecution.”
“All speakers were very good and knowledgeable.”
“Fantastic program. I appreciate the opportunity to hear an advanced/complex level of information.”
