The Library would like to thank the attorneys and judges that attended Social Law Library CLE and Cultural Events this autumn. In September, October, and November alone nearly 400 patrons came to the library for continuing education events, including:
- Guardianship Law and Practice in Massachusetts
- DNA Evidence Primer: What You Need To Know
- Complex Issues in Murder Cases
- Louis D. Brandeis: American Prophet
- Gomes and Beyond: The Continuing Evolution of the Law of Eyewitness Identification in the Commonwealth
- Bootcamp for Law Firm Startups
- Evidence: New Cases and Courtroom Issues
- Beyond the Wall
Many of these programs were accredited by Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS). In fact, CPCS panels provided our fall semester events with a total of 20.5 credit hours. According to their website, CPCS “provide legal representation in Massachusetts for those unable to afford an attorney in all matters in which the law requires the appointment of counsel” and the Social Law Library is proud to provide CLE courses that help further CPCS’s mission.
Were you unable to attend any of our events? Not a problem! You can download the audio and print materials for the following events:
The Library thanks all attendees, presenters, and sponsors for their support this year. Please visit the Education Page for a listing of our upcoming events.
