Members Enjoyed Open house to Showcase the Library’s Ongoing Preservation Efforts

May 6, 2026

Last week in honor of preservation week, we held an open house to showcase the library’s ongoing preservation efforts. We highlighted some of our own history, including history about the building and about the library members. It was also a great opportunity to show off some of the interesting items we have in our collection; including a copy of Justinians from 1567. A highlight of the library’s collection is the trial transcripts from the 1919 Great Molasses Flood. This was especially exciting to share with our members since Social Law owns the only copy of these transcripts. We had around fifty people come over to look at the items and learn more about the library and its collection!
