This program will center around the emergence of Generative AI and the changes to the forthcoming profound changes in the legal profession. Several states are considering, or implementing programs, that allow non-lawyers to work as legal advocates, or to own law firms. How will these changes affect our profession in the context of Generative AI platforms? Why are so many venture funds investing in legal tech platforms? Will lawyers be employees of large financial institutions that will provide legal services in the future, much like doctors and other professionals? Is the emergence of Generative AI a boost to access to justice?
