Join our panel of seasoned judges and experienced lawyers in a discussion of the life cycle of an administrative law case, both at the administrative agency level as well as through the judicial review process.

Topics to be covered include:

• Nuts and Bolts survey of the applicable law, procedural considerations, and scope of review of adjudicatory proceedings before the Superior Court (under the State Administrative Procedure Act, Chapter 30A; and the Certiorari statute, Chapter 249, Sec. 4)
  
  
• Many state agencies are obliged by law to offer evidentiary hearings before determining the legal rights, duties, or privileges of specifically named citizens. Even in the era of social distancing these obligations do not necessarily abate. The panelists will discuss how adjudicatory processes are unfolding remotely, and how efficiency and effectiveness can be enhanced without jeopardizing constitutional due process principles.
  
  
• The panelists will also provide useful practice notes on select statutes and types of cases that proceed directly to the appellate courts.

They will also focus hot topics and emerging issues, including discussion of important recent cases.

• The program will also provide tips on researching regulatory history and finding administrative decisions and guidance.
