New child support guidelines in Massachusetts take effect on October 4, 2021.  The 2020-2021 Child Support Guidelines Task Force recommended changes to several areas of the guidelines, including income, minimum and maximum levels, adjustment factors, support for children aged 18 to 23 and contribution to post-secondary education expenses, child care, and health care.  In addition, the Child Support Guidelines Worksheet has been revised.  At this training, we will:

  • Highlight the changes in the 2021 child support guidelines from the 2018 child support guidelines
  • Address the interplay between alimony and child support in light of recent case law
  • Discuss the Rosenberg calculation and the new functionality of worksheet for this calculation
  • Run various child support scenarios using the worksheet
Online registration is encouraged. For assistance, questions on group discounts, accommodations requests, special billing, program content, out-of-state CLE credits, and general CLE information contact Michael Saporito by email at msaporito@socialaw.com. Registrations accepted in order of receipt. Registration fees are non-refundable. Most Social Law Library CLE events are recorded. The recording is available by digital download, generally within a week after the program date. Most downloads include print material and are $19.95 each. This product purchase is separate from CLE registration and is not included in the price of a CLE registration. CLE credit, when applicable, is only granted when the live webinar is attended.
