Among the recent spate of criminal justice reforms in MA has been the expansion of access to the Probation Department’s Community Corrections Centers (CCC) as a means of reducing reliance on jails and prisons. CCCs can now be accessed for pretrial services and treatment, and probation officers can refer probationers to the CCCs to fulfill specific conditions of probation. This program explains these changes, describes all of the pathways to the CCC, and explains how the CCC incorporates Evidence-Based Practices to reduce recidivism and strengthen communities.
