After years of unsuccessful attempts the Massachusetts Legislature passed changes to the laws about the enforcement of non-compete covenants that limit employees’ mobility within the same industry.
The new act gives the go-ahead for many projects around the state but the Governor vetoed sections that would have cracked down on so called “patent trolls” who file bad faith infringement lawsuits.
