On July 16 the Supreme Judicial Court upheld a District Court judge’s order to confine a probationer who tested positive for fentanyl. The opinion by Associate Justice David Lowy rejected the defendant, Julie Eldred’s argument that that confining her for the drug relapse was unconstitutional.
