WHAT:
Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Ralph D. Gants and the Associate Justices will hear oral arguments in four cases in a special sitting in Greenfield at the Franklin County Justice Center. The special sitting provides an opportunity for students, media and residents of the local community to view the work of the highest court of the Commonwealth outside of the John Adams Courthouse in Boston, where cases are normally heard.
The Justices will hear cases from Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties, and students from nine local schools have been invited to attend the special sitting. Following oral arguments, Chief Justice Gants and the Associate Justices will meet to discuss the cases, then hold a question and answer session with students.
Please see the calendar of cases to see which cases will be heard in Greenfield: http://www.ma-appellatecourts.org/display_calendar.php?dtp=fc
