The program will begin with a presentation by Lynn Schneeweis from the State Police Crime Laboratory who will give an overview of the DNA Unit, explain how evidence is collected and tested, and how testing results are expressed.
This will be followed by a panel presentation on the following topics:
• Government-compelled DNA production;
• Discovery and case management issues;
• Evidentiary issues at trial; and
• Post-trial testing issues under G. L. c. 278A.
