el Tye LLP\nSince 1999\, the Business Litigation Session (BLS) of the Suff
olk Superior Court has provided a forum for business and commercial disput
es. Complex cases benefit from the individualized and collaborative case m
anagement and specialized procedural rules that the BLS offers. \nThe Soci
al Law Library is sponsoring an interactive discussion between a group of
BLS Judges and practitioners experienced in litigating business disputes b
efore the BLS. \nThe discussion among the panel&mdash\;with ample time for
audience participation&mdash\;will provide a deep dive into a sea of issu
es surrounding BLS written advocacy\, addressing the &ldquo\;nuts and bolt
s&rdquo\; of\, and best practices for\, routine and complex pretrial and o
ther motions\, including motions in limine\, for discovery\, to dismiss\,
for summary judgment and the statement of material facts\, and more\, whil
e also revealing judicial preferences and pet peeves. \nGiven that the BLS
concentrates on complex business cases\, the insights and advice from BLS
judges and experienced commercial litigators will provide invaluable insi
ghts into the intricacies of written advocacy before this special court.
