presentation will cover types of cyber investigations\, digital evidence\
, and the digital forensic process. \nFollowing a twenty-four year career
with the Massachusetts State Police\, David McSweeney is currently a Vice
President in Stroz Friedberg&rsquo\;s Boston office where he manages the D
igital Forensics Lab. \nMr. McSweeney&rsquo\;s two decades with the State
Police were primarily focused in the areas of cyber investigations\, digit
al forensics\, and technical incident management. He served as the Executi
ve Officer in of Computer Crimes Unit. He was also a founding member of th
e Commonwealth&rsquo\;s first statewide cybercrimes unit at the Massachuse
tts Attorney General&rsquo\;s Office. Mr. McSweeney also spent fourteen ye
ars assigned to the Norfolk County District Attorney&rsquo\;s Office where
he founded the digital forensics section and was responsible for directin
g all personnel and operations for cases involving complex technical inves
tigations\, the search and seizure of digital evidence\, and digital foren
sics analysis. He has provided expert testimony related to the digital for
ensic process and findings. Mr. McSweeney has taken part in several profes
sional initiatives that have resulted in the development and release of be
st practice documents for the search and seizure of electronic evidence an
d digital evidence handling for law enforcement. Mr. McSweeney is a Certif
ied Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with the ISC2\, a GI
AC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA)\, and an Encase Certified Examiner (
